USD/JPY finds support at 82.85, rises back above 83.00

FXstreet.com (Córdoba) – USD/JPY managed to rise back above 83.00 and currently is facing resistance around 83.30. The pair fell during the European session and found support at the 82.85/90 zone. At the moment it trades at 83.14/18, the same price level it had at the beginning of the day.

To the upside, immediate resistance lies at 83.30/40 (Jan 5 high) and above at 83.70. To the downside, “>according to Valeria Bednarik, chief analyst at FXstreet.com lose of 82.80 price zone should favor a slide towards the 82.40/50 price zone.

The Yen is mostly higher across the board on Thursday supported by risk aversion and also by falling government bond yields.
